A soundproof assembly cell encapsulates loud joining and assembly processes exactly where people and machines work closely together. As a full service provider, sta Group accompanies your project from the sound measurement through design to installation, all from a single source. This means no friction losses between planning, production and assembly.

It all begins with the on-site analysis. Using a state of the art 3D scanner we capture your hall to the millimetre and derive a digital survey from it.

On this basis we design a cell in 3D CAD that fits exactly into your floor plan and your material flow. Every wall, every door and every opening is laid out for your specific process.

Production takes place in our own works on modern systems, including elements up to 6 metres in length. Adjacent units can be planned directly as matching machine enclosures, as can a flush assembly cell enclosure in the same wall system. You receive a coherent overall solution instead of individual components and a fixed contact for your soundproof assembly cell throughout the entire project.

Soundproof Production Cell for Loud Assembly Processes

In many plants the noise does not sit in the whole hall but at individual stations. A soundproof production cell delimits exactly this source, for example riveting presses, grinding stations or welding robots. The level in the surroundings drops noticeably. Inside, the process continues undisturbed.

Especially in pressing and stamping plants, impulsive peaks quickly add up to critical values. With a multi-shell wall structure, an enclosed production cell insulates the airborne sound, while decoupled frames take the structure-borne sound out of the floor. This keeps neighbouring workstations reliably below the permissible limits.

Fixed booth or movable solution? That depends on your production. For changing layouts, mobile room systems are a good fit, as you can relocate and later expand them. For fixed cycle lines, the stationary cell remains the more robust choice, because it seals tightly for the long term and achieves higher insulation values.

Quiet for Your Team Thanks to Enclosed Assembly Work

Constant noise burdens concentration, communication and health. When the level at the line drops, your people understand each other again without shouting. The error rate falls noticeably.

This is exactly where a noise control assembly cell pays off twice, for the people in the plant as well as for productivity. From 85 dB(A) the law requires hearing protection and effective noise reduction at the source anyway. A sound-insulating production cell tackles precisely that, instead of only equipping each employee individually.

In this way you reduce the risk of noise-induced hearing loss where it actually arises. A noise control production cell therefore works preventively rather than merely treating symptoms. Think of the effect over several years and it adds up to considerably fewer absence days and more stable processes.

For sta Group, people and machines are in harmony. Quieter workstations do not only raise well-being, they also keep experienced specialists in the company. In the end, a quiet station is a solid argument in the competition for good people.

When a Soundproof Assembly Booth Pays Off

Whether a soundproof assembly booth is worthwhile is rarely decided by the pure purchase price. What matters is avoided downtime, fewer complaints and reliable compliance with occupational safety requirements. The overview below shows which levers make an enclosed cell pay off economically and which figure lies behind each one.

Lever
Effect
Typical figure

Noise level
reduction at the neighbouring workstation
10 to 25 dB(A)

Occupational safety
action value under LärmVibrationsArbSchV
from 85 dB(A)

Downtime
fewer interruptions from noise conflicts
project-dependent

Flexibility
adaptability when the layout changes
mobile or fixed

The greatest leverage usually lies in the level at the neighbouring workstation, because that is where occupational safety and productivity coincide. Reliable figures, however, only come from the on-site measurement. That is why every quote for a soundproof assembly cell begins with an analysis rather than a flat rate.

If you want to relieve several stations at once, it is worth looking at modular room systems. As a modular soundproof production cell, such an installation grows with you, so that you invest once in a system that can be expanded later.

References from Audi to KUKA Speak for Our Work

Manufacturers such as Audi, BMW, Daimler, ThyssenKrupp, KUKA and Schuler rely on noise control solutions from sta Group. Such references arise where process reliability and on-time delivery allow no compromises. Anyone producing for the automotive and forming industry knows high requirements down to the detail.

Since 1986 the company has planned and built industrial noise control, today with 85 to 98 employees at four locations. In 2024 sta Group was honoured as one of the TOP 100 innovators among German mid-sized companies. Our own fitters ensure clean and on-time implementation on your site.

Your requirements for a soundproof assembly cell are best discussed directly on the project. What this looks like in practice is shown by our soundproofing in the automotive industry. Get in touch. We will take the first step, the on-site analysis.
